at the DHH, you could browse through the other products in
their portfolio . spectacle cases,
bright files for holding those important notes &
papers, the 'Tashi Tagey'
or the eight lucky signs, handmade paper for the
ecologically concerned among you to traditional Lepcha
weaves that you can chop up for unique cushion covers and
paintings and penholders. And how could you even contemplate
leaving without a look at our carpets. You could even see
the young artisans, both boys and girls, hard at work,
painting, carving, weaving .. always creating a legacy of

a ginger paste also produced locally. Or raise your body
temperature several notches with a taste of the deadly

occupy a unique place in our culture and we have several

their products. You can stop by at the Wayside Garden at 5th
Mile by prior appointment or through a registered Travel
Agent and check out their floral temptations. If you're an
art aficionado, check out the beautiful
paintings of orchids and
rhododendrons which have
been etched in striking detail by local lass Dikyi Yuthok.
